These Awards were established to recognise regional excellence,
not glitz and glam.
We understand that the vast majority of caravan parks, campsites, tourism attractions, tour operators and event organisers that cater to Grey Nomads are in regional or remote Australia. Some of you are Mum and Dad owners who work long hours, often seven days a week. Others are community-based organisations that rely on the generosity of volunteers.
Therefore you may not have the time nor resources to leave your home-town to attend an Awards presentation.
That's OK - you'll still receive all the benefits.
The Awards want to see every organisation that is helping Grey Nomads live better lives to have an opportunity to be recognised and benefit from this program.
So winners who are unable to attend the Awards presentation will either have their trophy mailed to them or presented in person at their organisation by a Grey Nomad Awards representative. In addition, the Grey Nomad Awards will also endeavour to visit every organisational category winner over the months following the Awards presentation to further bolster promotion and local media engagement.
