This is a park created especially for those who love the freedom of choice and are fully self-contained.

If that is you, and you want somewhere in the heart of the NSW Riverina town of Temora that is safe, clean, spacious and friendly. And all you need do to enjoy the grounds that host a daily happy hour and are maintained by an onsite caretaker is pay a small fee and agree to leave no trace.

In choosing the CMCA RV Park Temora, you will also have access to a dump point, potable water and space for even the largest of RVs in a setting where you can meet like-minded travellers in the heart of a welcoming country community.

Temora, only four and a half hours from Sydney or two and half from Canberra, is:

  • A former gold town that produced almost half of all gold in NSW during the 1880s

  • Where the Mother Shipton nugget was found - a massive rock weighing 7.3 kilograms! (It broke in three parts on extraction and the smallest piece was later presented to Queen Victoria.)

  • In the heart of the Riverina, with the heritage town of Ariah Park only 20 minutes away

  • Home to the Temora Rural Museum and Visitor Centre, which sports a replica of the 'Mother Shipton Nugget' as well as other cool stuff, such as Donald Bradman's childhood cottage

  • On the stunning Canola Trail

  • An aviation fan’s dream with a museum that houses the only two flying Spitfires in Australia.

Our judges commented that by providing facilities that grey nomads in self-contained vehicles are seeking, the CMCA is not just helping club members but it’s also supporting every business in and around Temora as the park encourages mature travellers to stop, stay and spend in this unique pocket of Australia.

The CMCA in fact operates seven parks in towns that benefit, with another 13 on the horizon as of March 2021. All have been established to match the needs of people in RVs that meet the CMCA’s Self Contained Vehicle (SCV) Policy.

Temora is the CMCA’s newest park, servicing the Club’s 70,000 members, 96% of whom are grey nomads.

What is a self-contained vehicle? The CMCA considers a self-contained RV to be one specifically built for that purpose, and therefore has a built-in plumbed sink that drains to a grey water tank, on-board cooking and sleeping facilities, carries a supply of fresh water and can retain all grey and black (toilet) water. A copy of the CMCA Self Contained Vehicle Policy is available here.
