On the stunning Canola Trail
An aviation fan’s dream with a museum that houses the only two flying Spitfires in Australia.
Our judges commented that by providing facilities that grey nomads in self-contained vehicles are seeking, the CMCA is not just helping club members but it’s also supporting every business in and around Temora as the park encourages mature travellers to stop, stay and spend in this unique pocket of Australia.
The CMCA in fact operates seven parks in towns that benefit, with another 13 on the horizon as of March 2021. All have been established to match the needs of people in RVs that meet the CMCA’s Self Contained Vehicle (SCV) Policy.
Temora is the CMCA’s newest park, servicing the Club’s 70,000 members, 96% of whom are grey nomads.
What is a self-contained vehicle? The CMCA considers a self-contained RV to be one specifically built for that purpose, and therefore has a built-in plumbed sink that drains to a grey water tank, on-board cooking and sleeping facilities, carries a supply of fresh water and can retain all grey and black (toilet) water. A copy of the CMCA Self Contained Vehicle Policy is available here.
